The department also offers an appeal for those students who permanently reside in approved zip codes listed and meet the Hope and Pell eligibility requirements. Please review the requirements for the exemption and appeal carefully.
If requesting an exemption from the residency requirement, a Residency Requirement Waiver must be submitted prior to completing a Housing Contract. Student must wait to be informed, via student’s UWG email address, if Residency Requirement Waiver is accepted or denied prior to signing a Housing Contract.
Once a Housing Contract is signed by the student and the student no longer desires to live on campus, a Residency Requirement Waiver is not available. To cancel an active Housing Contract, a Housing Contract Cancellation request must be emailed (from student’s UWG email address) to email@example.com. Please note that there are associated fees due when submitting a Housing Contract Cancellation.
