Services for UWG Students at Georgia Highlands College [former Floyd College]

The Georgia Highlands College Library has agreed to provide full library service to West Georgia students. Therefore, when you need library materials, that is the place we recommend (although you are of course free to use any other library you choose). While the collection at Georgia Highlands is not large, the Library does have full access to all the GALILEO databases, so you can do all your searching there; use the current GALILEO password for West Georgia, though, in order to get the maximum access to which you are entitled. Through GALILEO, you can also connect to the Ingram Library's web catalog, providing access to the book collection at the Carrollton campus.

Once you have identified the materials you need, Georgia Highlands College library staff will assist you, if needed, in sending your requests to Ingram Library using our online request form within the ILLIAD system OR the InterLibrary Loan form also within the ILLIAD system. You should use the Distance Learning OnLine Request form ONLY for materials which you know Ingram Library owns; all other requests should be submitted as ILL requests, so we can borrow the materials for you from some other library. Special note for ERIC documents: many recent ERIC documents are available through a full-text ERIC Document Reproduction Service to which the Ingram Library subscribes. In order to use this database from off-campus, you must connect through the Library's Databases & GALILEO page, and use the current GALILEO password when prompted to enter password.

Items are normally sent to you electronically, except for books, which are sent to Floyd College Library via UPS. An invoice for any applicable photocopying charges will be enclosed with your shipment.
