Welcome to the UWG Library Music Tutorial

This tutorial will help you develop some basic information literacy skills for music research. By completing the different modules, you will become familiar with many aspects of finding and evaluating information.

When you complete the tutorial you should know:

  • How to locate music materials in the Library
  • How to read call numbers in order to find scores, recordings, books and journals.
  • How to search the online catalog by author, title, subject, and keyword.
  • Some basic music reference sources and how to use them.
  • How to find journal articles in the appropriate periodical indexes.
