Geosciences - Collection Development Profile
Purpose of Degree Programs:To support undergraduate instruction and
research in Geoscience leading to B.S. and B.A. degrees in Geology, Earth Science, and
Geography and to a minors in Geology and Geography.
Collecting Parameters:Date of Publication: Emphasis on
current publications, with occasional retrospective acquisition of works
currently lacking in the collection
Chronological Coverage: Primary emphasis on modern theories
and techniques, but some retrospective coverage of historical development.
Geographic Coverage: Worldwide
Formats Preferred: Journals, monographs, maps, atlases,
electronic and non-print.
