SciFinder Scholar

SciFinder Scholar is an online, user friendly version of Chemical Abstracts, provided by Ingram Library and available to campus users. You will need to contact your Chemistry professor for instructions on how to access this database since user workstations are limited.

General Science Index -- On our shelves at: Ref. Indexes Q1 .G46X

Provides indexing from books and journals of chemistry and its numerous disciplines from 1978 to the present. Many of the major chemical titles are covered in this index.

Physical & Environmental Sciences Databases

GALILEO and Ingram Library databases that have some relevance to chemical topics. Some provide citations to articles, some citations and abstracts, and some citations, abstracts and full text.

Life Sciences Databases

GALILEO and Ingram Library databases that provide indexing, to some chemistry related topics. Some databases will contain article abstracts and/or full text of articles.

Medical & Health Sciences

There are databases located here that are relevant to numerous chemistry topics. Some full text articles are available.

General Indexes and Related Databases

Readers Guide to Periodical Literature -- On our shelves at: Ref. Indexes AI3 .R48

Identifies articles from the popular press, some of which will be chemistry related. Magazines such as Science, Bioscience, Issues in Science & Technology, etc. are included. This index covers materials back to the beginning of the twentieth century.

Academic Search Premier

General periodical index covering approximately 3,000 periodicals from which 1,000 are provided in full-text. Users may perform both keyword and subject searches and can restrict searches to find only peer reviewed articles.

Research Library

A general periodical database that provides full text for over 1,040 scholarly journals and general magazines and provides abstracts and indexing for over a hundred more.
