GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS
Ingram Library is a depository for Federal government documents. Government
documents (or government publications as they are sometimes called) are materials
published by or for a government agency. These materials are available in a
variety of formats including print, CD-Rom, microfiche and on the Web. Print
government documents are located on the Main
Floor of the Library and are shelved by publishing agency, using the
Superintendent
of Documents classification system. These documents may be checked out for 28
days and are subject to the same checkout policies as other library materials.
Government publications cover a wide variety of subjects, such as:
- Current Affairs
- Legal Issues
- Foreign Countries
- Health
- Statistical Information
- History
- Science & Technology
Most of the government documents can be located by using the Ingram Library
Catalog (GIL). If you need help locating government documents on a specific topic
or finding a document
on the shelf, please consult a reference librarian for assistance.

MAPS
Ingram Library has a select group of maps located on the Main
Floor. Maps may be checked out for a period of 28 days and are subject to
the same checkout policies as other library materials.
