A periodical index is a tool used to index articles within magazines, journals and newspapers.
Many periodical indexes contain abstracts or brief summaries of the articles. Many will also have the full text or entire content of whole articles as they originally appeared in the
periodical. Ingram Library has print indexes as well. Indexes can be found in the Index section of Reference. Print indexes cover, at most, one calendar year, and will have only citations.
Online Indexes, like those found on GALILEO, will cover the entire range of material that the index contains for that publication.
GALILEO, and other electronic indexes available through Ingram Library, can be accessed anywhere there is Internet access, but you must have the current password.
