Automated Search Request Form

Use this form when a patron cannot find an item on the shelf.

This new search request form functions like the old paper search request cards, but has certain fields that must be filled in before the request can be processed.

• Look up the title in the Online Catalog and copy and paste it into the form (Required Field).
• Copy and paste the Call Number and the Author's name from the information you find in the Online Catalog.
• Enter the patron's first and last name and email address (Required Fields).
• Include any comments that may be helpful to the Stacks Department when we conduct the search. Examples: "Patron needs all three volumes" or "Patron claims returned"

Click Submit and you're done!

An email will be sent to the patron via the email address on the form regarding the status of their search request (found or not found).
